North Coast Local Land Services

A chance to contribute with North Coast Local Land Services

There are currently two opportunities for local landholders to be involved with North Coast Local Land Services.

The elections for locally-elected Board members are being held on 31 May 2017 and nominations from interested ratepayers are now open.

Local Board members provide an important contribution to the delivery of high-quality, integrated services to landholders and ensure those services are in touch with the needs of local communities.

Candidate nominations for local Board members is now open and closes at 12 pm on Monday 27 March 2017.

Ratepayers must be enrolled to vote in Local Land Services elections. Ratepayers can enroll until Friday 31 March 2017 and nominate until Monday 27 March 2017 through the Local Land Services website .

North Coast Local Land Services are also encouraging interested individuals and organisations to have their say on the draft North Coast Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan.

The Plan will guide resource allocation and investment in the region and will provide a consistent basis for regional planning and delivery. The consultation period is an opportunity for stakeholders, organisations and interested community members to provide feedback on the management of weeds in our region.

The Plan sets the vision for weed management on the North Coast for the five years from 2017, and outlines strategies and actions to achieve goals that focus on shared responsibility for weed management.

Copies of the Regional Plan and feedback forms are available at the North Coast Open website and feedback is invited until Wednesday 8 March 2017.
